    Honoured at IIT Delhi for contribution to rural social service

    Reported from Nawada: Akhilesh Kumar Singh, of Jahana village in Nawada district, Bihar, was honoured at IIT Delhi for his contribution to rural social development and to strengthening the Panchayati Raj system. He was presented with an ang vastra (shawl) and a memento by the Director of IIT Mumbai. Speaking on rural development at the institution, he described the occasion as a matter of pride for his village, for Nawada and for the country.
